Over the past year, we have invested in expanding our production halls to build a new, modern paint shop. This step benefits not only us but, most importantly, our customers.
The key features include a surface degreasing and phosphating station, followed by a combined painting and drying booth. These technologies are part of our continuous improvement program aimed at enhancing the efficiency of production processes, supported by funding from the European Union.
Prestar has prioritized an environmentally friendly approach in this project. The air filtration systems in the paint shop and drying booth actively reduce the amount of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The degreasing station significantly improves corrosion resistance and coating adhesion. Additionally, the new degreasing system will drastically reduce the consumption of both biodegradable and conventional degreasers.

Degreasing station:

  • The degreasing process takes place pressure gun s heated degreasing and phosphatising solution
  • The bath solution is recycles, the depleted portion is accumulates in a disposal station

Combined painting and drying booth:

  • Length: 14,0 m
  • Width: 4,5 m
  • Height: 6,0 m
  • The possibility of painting steel structures up to a length of 12,0 m

The operation of the paint shop and drying booth is controlled by a PLC system, which manages ventilation and heating burners according to the activities performed in the cabin. Energy savings are enhanced through frequency converters on all air handling system drives, each with a power rating of 4×15 kW. A significant energy-saving feature is the waste heat recovery system, which preheats incoming air, achieving an efficiency of over 50%.
The new paint shop enables us to apply advanced surface treatments that enhance the durability, quality, and aesthetics of our products while reducing environmental impact. Thanks to this modernization, we can complete projects faster and more efficiently, with a focus on longer product lifespan and precise workmanship.
